Join us for a guest lecture and Q&A with Prof. Richard Andrews, on the theme of “Poetry off the Page: Rhythm, Free Verse and Translation in Context”. Richard Andrews is Professor Emeritus of the University of Edinburgh and has held professorships at the Universities of Hull, York, UCL Institute of Education and the University of East Anglia. He is series editor of Palgrave Studies in Multimodal Poetics (Palgrave Macmillan), as well as a published poet.

In his talk, he will introduce selected aspects of his manifold work on poetry and poetics, including on rhetoric, rhythm and polyrhythmicity, translation, and multimodal poetics.
